Minimum System Requirements to use Zello Applications

Mobile Apps 

  • Android 7+ 
  • iOS 14+ 

Note: While Zello may operate on older versions of these operating systems, we cannot guarantee the app will work as intended or be fully supported on if using an earlier OS.

See this article for instructions on confirming the version of Zello currently running on your device. 

Dispatch Hub

If using Dispatch Hub, your device should operate on the following specifications (at a minimum):

  • Windows 10 and later
  • MacOS 10.11 and later (M1 chips supported on version 8.0.0 or higher)
  • 4G RAM minimum / 8GB RAM recommended
  • 512MB disk space

Forthcoming Changes: August 2025

On August 12, 2025 Zello will deprecate selected clients. Users with unsupported client versions will no longer be able to use Zello.

Legacy PC App All Versions

If using the legacy PC app for access to Zello via desktop, we recommend migrating to Dispatch Hub. 

If using the legacy PC app for radio gateway configuration and compatibility, migrate to Zello Bridge via these instructions. 

 All versions of Zello's legacy PC app will cease operation at this time. 
Android Anything prior to Zello version 6.0. Upgrade your Zello app.  Newer version of Zello require Android 7 or newer. 
iOS Anything prior to Zello version 6.1. Upgrade your Zello app.  Newer versions of Zello require iOS 15 or newer. 
Dispatch Hub Zello version 15.26 Upgrade Dispatch Hub.  Windows 10+ are compatible with Zello version 15.26. 
Android SDK Anything prior to version 1.0.3 Rebuild your applications using Android SDK 1.0.3 or higher N/A
iOS SDK Anything prior to version 2.0 Rebuild your applications using iOS SDK 2.0 or higher Newer versions of iOS SDK require iOS 15 or higher
