Call alerts allow users to send urgent messages that are delivered with three audible beeps and a distinct visual notification. This 1:1 functionality is similar to the channel alerts feature.
Call alerts have persistent audio that repeats every 60 seconds until the receiver either dismisses or replies to the message. This feature is enabled by default on all Zello Work networks, but a network admin can disable it if desired.
Users: Send a Call Alert
Send a call alert on iOS or Android:
1) Open the intended contact's PTT screen. Tap the bell icon located in the right corner of the PTT screen, under the user details banner.

Please note: If you don't see a bell icon on a contact's PTT screen, it is likely the call alert function is disabled for your network. Admins can re-enable this setting via the management console by following the steps below.
3) Type your alert's message and press Send.
Please note: Pressing and holding the alert icon will automatically send a call alert with the default message "Zello me!"
Send a call alert on Dispatch Hub:
1) From the Contacts tab, hover over the intended recipient's name. Click the three horizontal dots that appear.
2) Select "Send Alert." Type your intended message, then press Send.
Receiving Call Alerts
Recipients will receive the call alert via 3 loud, successive beeps and a text message notification. The beeps will be repeated every one minute until the message is either dismissed (tap Dismiss) or responded to (press Talk now).
