SignOn Links streamline app sign-in, allowing end-users to access their Zello account without entering a username or password. When a user opens a SignOn link, they're instantly logged in to their company's private workspace—enabling a smoother, quicker set-up process.
Admins send SignOn Links from the Management Console, ensuring the process remains secure and intentional. Note that SignOn Links can be sent to both new and existing users, but they're an entirely optional feature; if an admin doesn't send a SignOn link, users will need to log in to Zello with a username and password.

SignOn Links can be created at 3 stages:
- When you're creating a new user, enter their email address under the "Send the download and sign on link via email or SMS" section. Click "Send Instructions" to send the new user a SignOn Link. Learn more about creating a new user.
- 1) Sign in to the management console at [yournetworkname].zellowork.com. Open the Users tab, and select the user you'd like to send a SignOn link.
2) From the User Details page, click Get SignOn Link. Enter the user's cell phone number or email address, depending on how you'd like the link to be delivered. Click Done to send the link. - Via bulk user import
We recommend utilizing the user import feature if you need to send many users a SignOn Link. By creating and uploading a CSV with each user's email or phone number, you avoid clicking through each user's individual user profile.
Use the header signon_send_to in your CSV file to send SignOn Links. Learn more about user import.
Expiration Time
By default, SignOn Links are valid for 48 hours. Admins can adjust this timeframe as needed from the Management Console by going to Settings > Web Console > General.
If a user tries to sign in using an old link, they'll receive an error message that instructs them to reach out to the network's admin.
To Note
- The user you're sending a SignOn Link to must have Zello downloaded prior to clicking the log in link. The emails/texts sent to each user receiving a SignOn link include an app download link for convenience.
- Links can be used multiple times within the configured expiration timeframe.
- Links can be generated multiple times for each user. They can be revoked by clicking the "Get SignOn Link" button in the user's profile, as well.
- If the user didn't receive an email with their SignOn Link, they should check their email's spam folder. If that doesn't work, the admin should consider resending the link.
