A good connection to your WiFi network or cellular data network is important during your event. Most shows and exhibits offer free WiFi now, however, these networks may be overloaded and create delays with Zello messages. There are often problems with cellular service being spotty inside of the conference building as well.
If you are using WiFi:
- We recommend having your own private WiFi network during show time. This will cut back on the amount of network traffic experienced with free WiFi networks that everyone joins.
- Talk to the show provider to guarantee you have the right bandwidth. Here are our bandwidth stats you will want to share: Zello bandwidth use
If you are using a cellular network:
- Try connecting to a 4G network, or less, if LTE is not available. Zello is designed to work with the lowest bandwidth available and has been tested on 2G, 3G and 4G networks.
- Consider the use of HotSpot connection points throughout the conference so that staff can remain connected on all show floors.
