Toggling the Disable per-user volume adjustment setting off in the management console allows Android users to alter the playback volume of individual contacts from the PTT screen.
When off, a slider icon will appear at the bottom-right corner of a contact's PTT screen. Tapping that icon allows you to modify the contact-specific volume level:
Admins: Disable Per-User Volume Adjustment from the Management Console
- Log in to the management console at yournetworkname.zellowork.com.
- From the task bar, click Settings. Under Android > Restrictions, locate the "Disable per-user volume adjustment" setting and toggle it off.
- Click Save and Apply. Users wil now be able to adjust the volume for specific contacts.
A few notes about per-user volume adjustment:
- Users may experience difficulty hearing messages if the per-user volume is set below 0dB.
- If the Playback automatic gain control setting is enabled, users will not be able to alter the per-user volume (even if disabled). Playback automatic gain control overrides the per-user volume adjustment.
- If this setting is toggled back on at any point, the volume on user devices will revert back to the default audio settings for your network. Users will not retain their per-user volume adjustment settings.
