Zello's Enterprise Server offers customers the ability to host their Zello environment locally on their own server. With ZES, you're given complete ownership and control over your company's Zello infrastructure.

What's the main benefit of ZES?
ZES securely operates on your local intranet, meaning internet connectivity isn't required to use Zello. Furthermore, ZES's on-premise setup gives your team increased control over its configuration and security; the server is hosted in your environment and managed by your team, making it a great option for organizations with strict security requirements.

Zello operates the same on both Zello Work (cloud-hosted) and ZES—meaning your end-users won't notice a difference.

ZES vs. Zello Work

ZES carries many of the same features and much of the same functionality as Zello Work, albeit there are some differences.

Like Zello Work, ZES is operational on iOS + Android devices, as well as Zello's Dispatch Hub. Unlike Zello Work, which is cloud-hosted—meaning associated data is stored on Zello's servers located across the world—the Zello Enterprise Server is locally-hosted on your own server in your own environment.

There are a few key Zello Work features not currently available for ZES. These include:

Additionally, please note that dispatch analytics and Apple's Push-to-talk framework are available for ZES, but require an internet connection.

ZES Features

Like Zello Work, voice, text, image, and location messages can be sent with ZES, and its settings, users, and channel are configured from the Management Console. Additionally, it offers the following features:
